as time goes on, the more i get the feeling we - as humans - have a tendency of making a much bigger deal of things than God intended. we are called to love God and love our neighbor, because God first loved us, but it seems the business we've turned this simple command into often handicaps our ability to act it out.
i am so caught up in "loving" people in my work, that I forget to love them with my life.
even Jesus, when he was heading to heal the synagogue leader's daughter, stopped what he was doing to empower the woman who touched his garment. things are meant to be simple, but we make them difficult.
God, teach me to be loving.
